Oh sure, you’ve got plenty of options when it comes to selecting a shooter with zoom for days, but what’s the harm in having one more option to comb over? The X70, which we saw peek out ahead of PMA, is finally up for pre-order on the outfit’s own site. In case you’ve forgotten, this 12 megapixeler boasts a stupendous 24x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD monitor and an SDHC card slot. Worth four Benjamins? Depends on how bad you want to see that blade of grass way over there on the 30 yard line.

While a smattering of other camera outfits decided to out most of their new point-and-shoot models a few weeks prior to PMA, Kodak has kept with tradition by breaking their new kid out here in Vegas. The EasyShare Z915 is a markedly standard 10 megapixel shooter, boasting a 10x image stabilized optical zoom lens, the company’s own Smart Capture feature to automatically snag the best shots, support for AA batteries, a 2.5-inch rear LCD and an SD / SDHC card slot. It’ll be available in red, blue, black and gray this April for a completely respectable $199.95. Trouble is, you’ll probably forget this thing even exists by then. Full release is after the break.

While MSI’s X-Slim line no doubt garnered the most attention at its massive CeBIT booth, we found a few other gems that our camera just couldn’t ignore. Take the Wind U123 for instance — which was camped out with a Intel N280 processor, the incredibly aged GMA 950 graphics set, the old 945GSE chipset (as opposed to the GN40, which we were carelessly hoping for) and a SIM card slot for 3G WWAN. It didn’t look all that different from U120, but then again, we never expected it to. Dive in below to see for yourself.

Last we checked, Mobile World Congress ended a few days ago, but evidently ASUS doesn’t mind a bit. Out of nowhere, the company has just introduced its newest Windows Mobile 6.1 (boo…) smartphone, the P835. Without a doubt, the two standout features here are the 3.5-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen and support for HSUPA 7.2Mbps downloads. The handset comes loaded with Opera Mobile for web surfing, a trackball, the company’s new and improved Glide user interface, a battery good for six to seven hours of talking, a 528MHz Qualcomm 7201A processor, 4GB of internal storage, a microSDHC card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, USB 2.0 connectivity, aGPS and quad-band GSM compatibility. You’ll also find a 5 megapixel AutoFocus camera and video recording, and beautifully enough, the phone can double as a WiFi access point to share its blazing fast connection over WiFi with up to ten devices. The Kindle 2’s only been in our hot little hands for a few hours, but the screwdriver-happy scamps at iFixit couldn’t resist — they’ve already ripped theirs into its many component pieces. Interestingly, the teardown revealed an empty space for a SIM card slot, which might indicate Amazon’s got firmer plans for the Kindle’s international debut than they were willing to talk about at the launch. Don’t get too excited for any VAIO P-style SIM-slot hacks, though, since the US edition of the reader only has a CDMA radio for Whispernet in it. Oh well, it’s gotta happen sometime — for now we’re off to find a screen protector, since the teardown also revealed that the E-Ink screen doesn’t have anything over it at all.

Ever since the original Kindle was released I’ve been thinking more and more about getting myself an e-reader. I actually do quite a bit of reading, but I hate lugging around big books everywhere. The simple solution seems to be in a handy electronic e-ink reader. Sure, the Kindle has some pretty cool features, but wouldn’t it be cooler to just make your own?

This cool e-Ink AM200 Electronic Book Reader Kit has everything you need to construct your own e-reader. The picture above is what you could construct with the kit, which is about 7mm thick and weighs just 150 grams. You can load content via the MMC card slot. The catch? Oh, there’s just that tiny little $3,000 price tag. I think I’ll pass.

We still don’t know whether to call it the Sidekick 2009 or the Sidekick Blade, but either way, T-Mobile’s upcoming hiptop has finally been caught on camera, looking just as it did in a survey from last month and later via render. Unfortunately, we can’t glean any specs from the image, but the aforementioned questionnaire listed 3G, a 3.2-inch WVGA display, 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot, and GPS with turn-by-turn navigation. Alright, Danger, you’ve made us believers — now give us some official press shots to gaze upon lovingly.

Hopefully your retinas aren’t burning, but we can definitely understand if you need to take a few minutes and resume reading later after viewing the image above. An almost unlawful amount of cuteness has mauled this otherwise average Casio EXILIM digital camera, which just so happens to boast a 9 megapixel sensor, 2.6-inch rear LCD monitor, 41.2MB of internal storage space, an SDHC card slot, 3x optical zoom lens, a video recording mode and a borderline sickening amount of crystals, pink and Hello Kitty. Those who don’t mind blinding their guests each time they attempt to snap a shot can grab one now for ¥47,250 ($513), but you can probably guess what our recommendation would be.
