Kenny Irwin is an engrossing creator who likes to ingest a cook to create. In this case, he took an OLPC and direct discover dissolved it. He then added some “mixed media” (looks aforementioned parrafin if you transfer me) and overturned it into a slug. It’s named the OLPCSlug. We’re not trusty what it means, as art, or whether he’s disagreeable to attain some category of statement, but there you effect it. Kenny then defined to place it up on eBay to improve money for the OLPC Foundation. Thing is, he’s asking $26,001 for this, 80% of which module be presented away. I’d aforementioned to disc discover that this is ease a 5 amount difference for a dissolved laptop. Is it worth it? Keep datum for a live and pictures, and a VERY trippy recording of the making of the OLPCSlug.

MIB 1983 Takara Kronoform Diakron Robot Wristwatch On eBay

By Andrew Liszewski

I’ve already written about my love for Kronoform robot watches a few years ago, which is why I’m finding this eBay auction for a 1983 model that’s still in the original packaging very tempting. Unfortunately, the $250 starting bid is a little too rich for my blood, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying and reminiscing over the watch’s original packaging. In fact I’m amazed at how many different transformation modes there are based around the robot standing on its head. Battle Station, Solar Cannon, Caterpillar Launcher? They really didn’t give us kids as much credit as we deserved.

Thanks ‘chummaker’!

Vintage 1972 Pulsar P1 Prototype LED Watch On eBay

By Andrew Liszewski

Watch collectors who lean towards the high-tech might want to break out their credit cards for this one. The 1972 Pulsar P1 by Hamilton USA was the first LED watch ever sold to the public, and according to the description on this eBay auction, the limited run of just 400 pieces were eventually all recalled. So finding one that’s still in working condition, with the original box, is quite rare. And that’s probably why the seller has listed it with a ‘Buy It Now’ price of $25,000. So, any takers?

Sega Gun Fight Arcade (Images courtesy eBay & Marvin3m.com)
By Andrew Liszewski

TechEBlog managed to find an intriguing eBay auction for an old 1970’s Sega arcade game known as Gun Fight. Since the game predates everything from vector graphics to sprites, players actually take control of miniature wild west figures and try to shoot their opponent before they taste the searing kiss of hot lead. And to make things more challenging, the game includes various obstacles like cacti that can be used for cover until the tops get “blown-off”.

I also managed to dig up a site with scans of the Sega Gun Fight manual (I like the “Fast Draw to Profits” tag line) as well as a YouTube clip of the game in-action, which I’ve included after the jump. Oh, and if you’d like to add the Gun Fight arcade machine to your collection, there’s a Buy It Now price of just $2,400.

Mysterious pink iPhone 3G hits eBay, cue onslaught of rumors

Say wha’?! An iPhone in a hue other than black, white, or silver? While a red model has been rumored since before the 3G even launched, we’ve never thought about a pink one — let alone one hitting eBay. The text on the back of the device convinces us that this isn’t a simple ColorWare job, but there aren’t any photos of the back of the packaging either. Our take? Some OEM in Asia whipping up custom colors. But hey, Macworld’s just under a week away, so who knows?

Update: Go ahead and put those horses back in the stables folks, folks: Cole commented to point us over to an eBay auction for a rather familiar looking and decidedly aftermarket pink back cover. So, don’t go expecting a first-party pink iPhone at Macworld, but if you hurry up and bid now you can have yourself the most fabulous handset at the show.

Keepin’ it real fake, part CLXXII: Wu Fit — it’s Wii Fit, without the supply chain issues

So far as we can tell, the Wü Fit (see what they did there?) doesn’t actually come with the Wii Fit software. But unless we’re being badly deceived, the knockoff balance board should operate just fine with the official game (seriously!) — assuming that you can find it by its lonesome, which you can’t. The best (er, “only good”) part? It’s actually in stock for $92.95, which is more than the Big N can say about its genuine counterpart in much of the world. It’s okay, we know you’re seriously considering this over that eBay auction — we promise not to tell.
