Nokia Ovi Contacts for Symbian contact and S60 3rd Ed FP2 has infant features

Nokia Share Online updated to version 4.3

Nokia Share Online, the Symbian application that lets you easily share videos and photos directly from your Nokia handset, has reached version 4.3.

The new version is compatible with Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphones with FP2: Nokia N78, Nokia N79, Nokia N85, and Nokia N96. 

It will be soon available for Nokia’s touchscreen handsets too (Symbian S60 5th Edition).

Nokia Share Online 4.3 features direct integration with Ovi, as well as enhancements like:

  • Improved Post Editor, for “easier uploading with a streamlined post editor screen” and “easier to select destinations for sharing and upload and easier to see all the items you’re uploading”
  • Direct share to Contacts, letting you share content directly to contacts from your phone’s address book

To download Share Online 4.3, head on over to the Nokia Beta Labs website.

But before installing the app, take a look at the following release notes:

- Do not install over the following Share Online version due to a compatibility issue with the photos framework: 4.0.09.05, 4.0.09.06, 4.0.09.07, 4.0.09.08, 4.0.09.09, 4.0.09.10. To check what version of Share Online you have, go to Options->About in the application.
- Do not install over previous versions of Share Online 4.3 that are in ROM.
- To uninstall this version, you will need to restore the device.

Nokia Photo Browser now available for Symbian S60 3rd Edition

Nokia Photo Browser, the new and cool beta application presented by the Finnish company about two weeks ago, is now available for Symbian S60 3rd Edition handsets.

At the beginning, Photo Browser was released for Nokia’s touchscreen phones only, hence for Symbian S60 5th Edition.

Well, as of today, owners of S60 3rd Edition FP1 and FP2 devices can also check it out.

Keep in mind that there are two distinct installation files: one for S60 3.2 handsets with accelerometer (N79, N85, N96 etc.), and one for S60 3.1/3.2 handsets without accelerometer.
