We first heard about slim candybar Samsung Eltz S7220 more then a month ago, expecting it to be officially launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Well, MWC has come and gone, but Samsung S7220 remained under wraps. Until today, when Samsung has decided to officially announce it in U.K. with a new trade name.

From now own S7220 will be known as Samsung Lucido (meaning “Sleek” in Italian).

Official Samsung Lucido S7220 specs include:

• Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), 900/1200 UMTS, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity
• 2.2” QVGA AMOLED Display
• 5 megapixel camera with autofocus
• FM Radio
• Built-in accelerometer
• A-GPS navigation via Google Maps
• microSD memory card slot
• Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, USB 2.0
• Dimensions: 114×46.3×11.8 mm

Samsung Lucido will hit the shops in U.K in early April.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is another handset launched at Nokia Music event today.

As we told you few hours ago, Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is interesting mostly not for it’s features, but for it’s exterior/design.

Though the feature set is also nothing to sneer about for a handset at this price range.

It has an interesting top sliced design and illumination effects around the keypad to fit your mood and music you are playing.

Nokia 5330 specs include:

• Quad-band EGSM 850/900/1800/1900, WCDMA 900/1700/2100 connectivity
• Symbian S40 9.1 OS
• 2.4” QVGA 16M color display
• 3.2 megapixel camera LED flash, 15 fps video recording
• A-GPS
• microSD memory card slot
• Dimensions: 101.2 x 48.5 x 14.05 mm
• Weight: 113 g
• 1000 mAh battery with up to 7 hrs talk, 398 hrs standby and 24hrs music playback time

Nokia 5330 comes with OVI integration and also the possibility to add icon shortcuts to your favorite social networking services (e.g. Facebook, MySpace, etc;) to the home screen.

The handset is expected to ship in Q3 for a unsubsidized price of EUR 160.

I won’t complain about the camera here. 3.2 megapixels for the device at this price range is quite good. Throw in GPS sensor and pedestrian navigation capabilities, easy access to OVI services, music optimized design, and it looks that Nokia’s got a winner in 5330.

The only thing I feel is missing is high speed HSDPA data connectivity, since the phone only supports WCDMA (up to 384 kbps) downloads.

There are some interesting nuggets hidden among the hundreds of exhibitor stands at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Today, walking around the halls I found a little company called Neo. They try to differentiate among handset makers with interesting design ideas, some of which were on disply.

One of them is Neo 808i, what they call “world’s smallest fully featured mobile phone”.

It is really really small (41 x 72 x 14mm, 90g) tri-band GSM/GPRS  handset that comes equipped 1.2 mpx camera, FM radio, mp3/mp4 player, microSD memory card slot and all other things mobile p hone should have.

Then there’s Neo Eclipse, which looks just like high end  metallic computer mouse, when you put it on the table:

Neo Eclipse is also tri-band GSM/GPRS phone with 2 megapixel camera.

And we also have an upcoming Neo 909 Android phone with 3.2 mpx camera and small 50×13×80 mm metalic body:

Overall , some pretty nice ideas here. If you are looking for something different from traditional phones, Neo might be worth checking out.

Enough all those rumors and leaks for a moment. How about some official announcements?

Well, we’ve got one from LG today. And again it’s about a new media phone in their KM series.

Only this time it’s a low end music centric LG KM330 candybar.

Nothing really exciting about this one. Though LG says that KM330 has a reaaalllly good 3D stereo speakers.

As I said, LG KM330 ain’t too  exciting . But it’s looks well enough, has  biggish display,  an OK camera and plays loud music.

And hey, it’s cheap. You’ll probably be able to pick LG KM330 up for free and with not too onerous contract from your carrier.

Most of the rugged/adverse conditions optimized cellphones, with their rubberized covers and bulky frames,  do not care much about the looks.

Well,  Samsung decided to think different and is planning to release a new ruggedized and stylish handset – Samsung B2100 – soon.

Samsung B2100 is an upgrade to the previous Samsung M110 model.

It’s a dust, shock, drop and water resistant handset, which comes with improved looks and specs.

Well, it looks like those that found TrekStor’s MovieStation maxi t.u. hard drive a bit too bulky for their taste now have a new option to consider in the form of the company’s new MovieStation pocket c.uc, which packs many of the same media-friendly features, plus a memory card slot (SD, MMC, and xD) for some added convenience. As you can see above, you’ll also get a remote to control the device when it’s hooked up to a TV (via composite or component), and you’ll get support for most of the audio and video formats you’ll likely want — yes, including DivX and Xvid. No word on a release ’round here just yet, but folks in the UK can apparently grab a 250GB version now for £99.99 (about $150) or a 500GB drive for £139.99 (roughly $215).

Well, it looks like the ol’ softies and TRENDnet have finally found a way to liven up the family photo slideshow a bit: ’round the clock security camera footage! To make that possible, the company’s new 7-inch TV-M7 photo frame connects to your home network and is able to detect any wireless TRENDnet security cameras also connected to the network, which can be displayed on their own or four at a time on the screen. Otherwise, the device looks to be a fairly standard photo frame, with it packing 512MB of built-in storage and a memory card slot for further expansion, along with a remote control, a built-in speaker, and all the usual media playback functionality. As you might expect, however, you won’t get this one for the price of your usual 7-inch photo frame, with it running a somewhat hefty $262.99.
