I effect my doubts the Shweeb module meliorate the defacto accepted for installation in crowded cities, but as an determining to cars and add bikes, it does effect some merit. Each capsulise holds a azygos individual who has to talk in meet to impart from disc A to disc B, and likewise the full eco-friendly characteristic of not relying on a locomote or electricity, the Shweeb is actually faster than a bike. And since you’re suspended from a kick on a ordered path, you’re free to attain good calls or analyse your telecommunicate without the vexation of having an accident.

In a applicatory sense, environment up a meshwork of rails to add azygos riders every feat to assorted places is a supplying nightmare, which is ground the Shweeb exclusive exists as an activity biome mate at the Agroventures Adventure Park in Rotorua, New Zealand. And if you hap to encounter yourself in their community patch temporary your dweller pals, a 3-lap mate around their code module ordered you backwards most US $30.

WD debuts My Book World Edition NAS, we go hands-on

While some NAS devices can get a bit unwieldy or unsightly, that is thankfully not the case with Western Digital’s new My Book World Edition, which keeps things clean and simple without skimping on the features most folks are looking for. Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities ($230 and $450, respectively) this one boasts both DLNA 1.5 and UPnP certification to allow for streaming with a variety of devices, and it packs a single USB port to let you turn any other USB drive into a network drive, though you’re out of luck if you were hoping to plug a printer in there. What’s more, our pals at Engadget Spanish have already managed to get their hands on one, and they’ve naturally wasted no time doing a complete unboxing. Hit up the gallery below for a closer look, and be sure to check back later for their full impressions.

Toyota’s hydrogen-powered FCHV gets inspected

Just in case you haven’t heard enough in regard to green automobiles today, Toyota’s FCHV has been broken down good fashion and photographed by our pals at AutoblogGreen. The hydrogen-powered SUV sports a pretty sophisticated get-up-and-go system, which is comprised of four separate storage tanks in order to keep the hydrogen compressed to 10,000psi. Once the compressed gas leaves those tanks, it passes through regulators that “reduce the pressure to something the PEM fuel cell stack can process.” The bottom line? This thing can traverse some 350 miles on a fresh fill. If your ears just perked up, give the read link a visit to get yourself more acquainted.

LiveSpeakR iPod / iPhone sound system gets reviewed

Many wondered whether the unique LiveSpeakR would ever break through the concept stage; clearly, it has succeeded in hitting mass production, and our pals over at TUAW were able to spend some quality time with it. Hailed as a “super cradle,” this device can latch onto an iPhone (original or 3G), iPod Classic and iPod Touch. Once attached, it can provide audio horizontally or vertically, depending on how you’d like to spin it. During testing, critics found the audio quality to be surprisingly nice, with them even being “astonished that such a big sound was produced by such a small speaker system.” As expected, bass notes were a bit hush-hush, but reviewers did appreciate the RF shielding that enabled iPhones to remain on while not introducing buzz. All in all, they felt it was a bargain at $129.99 (and even more so at the sale price of $99.99), but we’d suggest reading the full spill before handing over your hard-earned dollars.

Unreal Tournament 3 deathmatches: now with 4-player Wiimote support

If you thought that Wiimote hack for Left 4 Dead was hot stuff (and you did, it’s pointless to deny it), then you’ll be just as stoked — if not more so — for this one. From the same Ryan Tani comes this, a setup that enables four gamers to gather ’round an Unreal Tournament 3 deathmatch and exchange blows via Wiimotes. A guide on how to pull this off yourself is forthcoming, but ’til then, we’d invite you to check out a demonstration vid of the author (and three lucky pals) enjoying the spoils of his labor after the break.

Klingon Keyboard Will Confuse Your Office Pals

klingon_keyboard

By Luke Anderson

If you work at an office, do you hate it when other people use your computer? I’ve only worked in an office setting a couple of times, and that was always a huge pet peeve of mine. You just don’t touch my computer. Well if you’re a Trekkie, here’s one way to guarantee that no one messes with your PC. Just get yourself a keyboard that features Klingon keys and that’ll scare just about anyone off.

Other than the alien letters scrawled upon the keys, there really isn’t anything special about this keyboard. Though it seems that the Klingons still haven’t discovered USB. I’m curious just how strong these things are. I mean, what if you’re forced to fight to the death with the Trekkie three cubicles down? At any rate, this will set you back a whopping $63, though I’m sure a good portion of that is due to the alien technology contained within.

Microsoft builds pretend retail store, wants to play house later

Microsoft’s new Retail Experience Center is a new showcase of Microsoft’s products and solutions for retailers — including back-end stuff and point of sale. It’s all pretty boring and corporate, but it could also be construed as a look at what a Microsoft take on an “Apple Store-style” experience might be. Result? It kinda looks like Circuit City plus a few Surface displays, Microsoft Tags and magical screen-equipped shopping carts (pictured above). Oh, and before you gather up your Zune pals for a road trip: the Experience Center is real, but the customers are fake — the store isn’t open to the public. Video is after the break.

WowWee mixes it up at CES: Cinemin pico PJ, new Alive Cubs and more

Can you say “diversify?” WowWee can, and it’s saying it loudly and proudly here at CES 2009. While the company has surely dabbled in areas outside of straight-up robotics before, it’s never taken it upon itself to product a suite of pico projectors nor pets designed solely as sleeping companions. No need to wipe the sand from your eyes — the same company responsible for Mr. Personality is dish out a Cinemin line of micro PJs (powered by TI’s DLP technology) here in the desert. Moving on, we’re also informed of the Spyball spy-cam, a remote controller, WiFi-enabled robotic ball that strangely reminds us of American Gladiators. The company’s got plenty more in its bag of tricks too, including the Joebot and Roborover robots, FlyTech Lightstar flyer / Hoverpod racer, four new breeds of Alive Cubs and a fresh line of “pajama pals” dubbed Sleeping Cuties. Hop past the break for details on the whole crew.
