GameStop offers up silver DualShock 3 controller for North America

If that all-black DualShock 3 controller has just grown stale, and you’re not about to drop any coinage to have Colorware liven things up, GameStop has a fantastic solution — so long as you’re a fan of silver, that is. As of today, the firm’s website has a clear listing for a satin silver version of the wireless SIXAXIS, and anyone familiar with the silver PS2 controller will no doubt notice the striking similarities. Just so you know, this one’s been available in the Japanese market for eight centuries now, but it looks like the North American crowd can finally yell “me too!” when parting with $54.99 on June 24th.

Silver Sony Ericsson C510 Kate shows a bit of its UI

Previously known as Sony Ericsson Kate, Sony Ericsson C510 was not yet officially announced, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a closer look at it.

The Cyber-shot phone was seen until now only in black, but a silver version exists too, since this has just appeared over at Daily Mobile in a set of leaked but high-quality photos.

This time, we can get a glimpse at the handset’s user interface (Cyber-shot UI 2.0), as well as at its 3.2 MP camera that  has autofocus, dual LED flash, face detection and active lens cover.

Camera aside, the phone also features:

  • A 2.2 inch TFT QVGA display
  • Auto rotation
  • Illuminated imaging shortcut keys
  • YouTube download and upload
  • 160MB of internal memory

Sony Ericsson C510 should be released sometime in February. No word on pricing for the moment, but since this isn’t exactly a C905, I’d say it won’t retail for more than $300.

Garmin rolls out nuvi 865T, ditches 8×0 series

Garmin already got official with a number of new devices earlier today, but it looks like it’s now quietly slipped yet another out the door, with the new nuvi 865T making an appearance on the company’s website. From the looks of it, this one is a slightly pared down and more silver version of the just-announced 885T, with it packing the same 4.3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display and Bluetooth functionality, but none of that fancy MSN Direct traffic info and other cloud-based services (though it does have an FM traffic receiver). No word on a price just yet, but we’re guessing it’ll come in a fair bit below the $800 the 885T demands. As GPS Tracklog points out, it also appears that this new 8×5 series has completely replaced the previous 8×0 series, with the latter now residing on the discontinued section of Garmin’s website.
